Why Australia

I was 16 when I first visited Melbourne in Australia, and I immediately fell in love with the city's diversity and culture, and thriving coffee scene. That experience inspired me to pursue my studies here, and I’ve never looked back.

Choosing a digital path

Although I had a commerce background, I decided to pursue a Master of Information Systems at the University of Melbourne. This opened up many new opportunities for me, especially as Melbourne continues to modernise and embrace digitalisation.

Studying in the digital field not only increased my employability and prepared me for work in Technology Assurance.

Work life in Australia

The support system I’ve had here - my friends, fellow Study Melbourne Ambassadors, seniors, and mentors, has been invaluable. They’ve given me the strength and guidance I needed to succeed and make the most of my experience here. Now, I get to stay and work at a large corporation – something I had not imagined before.

Advice for new students

If I could offer one piece of advice to new students coming to Australia, it would be to say ‘yes’. to every opportunity, even the ones that make you nervous (while always prioritising your safety and well-being!).

Say ‘yes’ to challenges that seem impossible.

It’s through these experiences that you’ll unlock opportunities and growth you never thought possible.
