The Temporary Graduate visa in the Post-Study Work stream is for students have recently graduated with a degree from an Australian education provider.
The Temporary Graduate visa in the Graduate Work stream is for students who have recently graduated from an Australian provider with skills and qualifications relevant to specific occupations. Graduates with an eligible degree who apply for a Temporary Graduate visa in the Post-Study Work stream on or after 1 July 2023 will be granted an additional two years.
Applicants with an eligible degree who have studied, lived and worked in a regional area in Australia may apply for an extension in the Second Post-Study Work stream.
Applicants with an eligible degree can only be granted the additional two-year extension once. No further applications for extension are possible and further applications for an extension will be invalid.

Current and former Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa holders who lost time in Australia due to COVID-19 international travel restrictions can apply for a replacement visa.
To be eligible, you must have held a Temporary Graduate visa that was granted before 15 December 2021 and in effect on or after 1 February 2020, and have lost time on your visa because of Australia’s COVID-19 travel restrictions.
