Mami - My Australia

Nursing Graduate and Registered Nurse

Mami’s life was changed by the Fukushima earthquake and tsunami. She decided to move to Australia to start a new chapter in her life. After studying a Bachelor of nursing at Flinders University in Adelaide, Mami became a registered nurse.

I never thought I could feel so cared for away from my own family.

From the moment Mami stepped off the plane, she was welcomed with open arms. The support and care she received from her community and colleagues made her feel instantly at home. In Australia, Mami regained her confidence and resilience and found her second family.
